Graduate Research Assistantship Opportunity in Biosystems Engineering Technology

The Biosystems Engineering and Soil Science (BESS) department at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK) is seeking a Masters Student level Biosystems Engineering Technology graduate assistant to work in the area of poultry broiler Precision Livestock Farming. The individual is expected to assist with on-going computer vison PLF broiler production research and serve as a key member of the team that develops and delivers a regional Extension short-course on PLF Utilization in Broiler Production based on the project research. 

Applicants should have an earned B.S in agricultural or related undergraduate fields. International applicants need to meet the requirements on English proficiency with a minimum score of 80 on internet-based TOEFL or 6.5 on IELTS. This position includes tuition waiver and a competitive stipend that is commensurate with education and experience. 

The admission is preferred in Fall 2023, but Spring 2024 applicants will also be considered.
