Graduate Research Assistantship Opportunity in Biosystems Engineering

The Biosystems Engineering and Soil Science (BESS) department at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK) is seeking a Masters Student level Biosystems Engineering graduate assistant to work in the area of poultry broiler Precision Livestock Farming. The individual is expected to assist with research in the development and implementation of computer vision broiler PLF systems. In addition the individual will work as a member of a team to develop a regional Extension short-course on PLF Utilization in Broiler Production. 

Applicants should have an earned B.S. in engineering, or significant engineering coursework. International applicants need to meet the requirements on English proficiency with a minimum score of 80 on internet-based TOEFL or 6.5 on IELTS. This position includes tuition waiver and a competitive stipend that is commensurate with education and experience. 

The admission is expected in Fall 2023, but Spring 2024 applicants will also be considered.
